Sunny Summer Saturday at Sturup - July 2023

I realize how much I’ve been slacking with the blog posts when I look back at how few posts about Sturup events I shot, but never posted…
I will make a post with the old photos from all of the different events and just call it “Throwbacks from Sturup” like that’s what was planned all along.

Anyhow. Sturup Raceway, a racetrack located right next to Sturup Airport, close to Malmö which means that a lot of danish drivers take the drive to this track when possible too.

The weather was great this time around, but with the cost around track drifting being high and a lot of the boys focusing on other events or street drifting they sat this one out. Snask was here tho as you can see in the previous post.

What’s better than having a cool white E36? Having a matching track car too.

Since Sturup is a larger race track it tends to attract (but not limited to) higher hp cars, which can result in some spectacular smoke shows.

I love the S14 above. It started of as a show car and the color, kit and spoiler has stayed the same since then. A few years back it switched owners but much prop to the current owner for not throwing all of the exterior away for some more generic “Drift SM” exterior. From all of us: thank you.

Crashing at a track is a costly thing to do. But paying for a pair of damaged foam barriers that saved your car might be better than smashing your car on the street.

Burhoff teaching his young one what real driving style looks like.

såS13 pre-livery. The owner sat this one out and saved his tyres for later events (and money for the livery).

This car is a whole rolling Lardel billboard. Much much appreciated support.

Thank you for checking this post out. As I said in the beginning I will catch all of you up on some older Sturup events in the future.
