Lardel 夜中 meet 2021 - The Redemption

Following the first Lardel meet in April 2020, which contained about 10 cars and a few friends, the second meet was set to be held during May this year. But Covid sadly forced me to cancel the event last minute, and I had to wait for the restrictions to become more meet friendly.

The new date was set to July 24th and the day’s schedule was loosely planned with room for suggested activities.

The meeting point was a parking lot out by the beach. An open space where no one could be bothered by us, a photo-friendly parking layout and a strip of big bushes that provided a nice shadowed area where everybody could sit down and chat with each other.

Trailering your RX3 race car a good number of km’s to the meet takes dedication.

Glad to finally be able to see the updated version of the Coffin Carina on the road! A fresh 4A-GE swap and a beautiful exhaust manifold made by the owner, Lucas, himself.

After a few hours people began getting hungry, and most of us headed to McDonalds and grabbed dinner before heading to the next spot, which would be our drift spot later during the night.

Was so amazing to see how many people showed up to the event, and some of the amazing cars some brought. Like Viktors 326 Power S15.

Spinning out and not clipping another pole is definitely worth an applause!

That’s one (sadly expensive) way to make an entrance… But no pressure or anything. It’s not like you’ve got a crowd or anything.

In Sweden we call it raggarplanka.

I’m so grateful that so many of you came, and that all of you seemed to have a blast! I know I had and I can’t wait for the next event. It’s only going to get bigger from here on out.
