Lardel S13 - Working on it…
Deadlines have a tendency to ruin the fun in building cars. After working hard to get the S13 painted before last Vicious Delicious and blowing the deadline I put everything S13-related in a pile in and on top of the car and haven’t touched it since.
With the car-season in full blast I needed some motivation to get the car painted and on the road before it ended so decided to put it together and push it outside for a bit.
I called some friends over who helped me out and Oscar (@o_deezey) helped out by capturing it all with his camera.
After a long delay the VTS shift knobs are soon ready to release. The S13 is now fitted with the brushed variant to match the brushed center of the Nardi Classic my girlfriend got me for my birthday last spring.
The car is 95% ready to be sprayed with all surfaces being sanded and most dents being filled out and sanded.
Red seats, red VTS floor mats, red doorcards, red glovebox, red VTS shiftknob decal, red Style First air freshener
The to-do list is far from all checked. Exterior-wise I still need to lower it a cm or two and add more camber up front. There are some 2000’s interior pieces that I built from scratch last spring that still aren’t installed, and will stay out of the car until it’s all done too.
I’ll do my best to spare some time from work and get it done asap. Haven’t driven it for 3 years and haven’t had the exterior colormatched for even longer…
Thank you for all of your support via the store over the years. This car wouldn’t have been able to become reality without you and for that I’m truly grateful.
And a big thanks to Oscar (@o_deezey) for the photos.
