Gustav’s såS13 - Garage Visit

Last fall, when the off-season boredom had just gotten to me, I took a trip to Gustav’s garage and later continued to Calle’s to shoot his JZX that you saw a while back. I was supposed to shoot Gustav’s S13 after the livery was installed late last summer, but the engine had other plans and the car had to be put on jackstands before I had the chance.

This car has been seen a few times before on the blog, mostly at the Sturup events and in it’s earlier stage. But the car got an exterior overhaul straight from the Origin Labo catalogue before the 2023 season.

I’m very happy to see more local S13’s run a 17”/18” wheel setup. Gustav has gone with 17” Advan SA3R up front and 18” Rays Try Force Zelda in the rear as his main setup with some other driftspare options as well.

The car was wrapped in a lighter blue metallic color and this was the look for the majority of 2023 until one week before Japdays in August.

This was the second every livery I made for a real car and we wanted a tribal-flame situation that covered the whole car. Chrome vinyl was chosen for the flames and reflective white for the logos which look insane at night.

As I said earlier I was supposed to shoot this car with the livery mounted a few weeks after Japdays, but the engine had other plans an unfortunately gave up at Vicious Delicious last September and the car was parked in the garage for the remaining weeks of the season.

Luckily a friend was changing up his S13 / CA18DET setup and that engine made it’s way into Gustavs car. The swap is not yet fully complete and there’s still a few vital components missing, but I’ll go more in depth into the whole engine setup in a later post when the car is back on the road.

Another great S13 that’s tucked away into this garage is Gabriels S13 on some 15” wheels.

The very visual support from the people in this garage couldn’t be more clear and for that I’m very grateful!

And there is no shortage of Yonaka Meet stickers either.

And that’s another off-season blog post for you. I’m very much looking forward to shooting some new content for machine checks once the spring finally arrives and some new builds are finished.

Thank you for scrolling all the way through.

Best regards, Robin.
